In beautiful nature of Moravian Karst nearby Brno, Czech Republic, we successfully hosted the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Just Art It,” bringing together 30 young participants from six countries: the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Slovakia, Spain, Latvia, and Georgia. Over the course of several days, the participants explored art therapy as a powerful tool for self-expression, emotional well-being, and intercultural understanding. The project’s activities, designed around non-formal education principles, created a transformative environment for learning and growth.
Exploring the Power of Art Therapy
Art therapy took center stage in our program, helping participants to process emotions, reduce stress, and enhance their self-awareness. Activities like Self-Portrait Painting, Silent Painting, and Transformation of Emotions provided a creative outlet for reflection and personal expression. Through guided sessions, participants learned how to recognize and manage their emotional triggers, create comfort zones, and achieve a peaceful state of mind.

Building Skills and Connections
The exchange also aimed to foster practical skills and cultural exchange. Participants developed their abilities in organizing art-related workshops and using art therapy techniques in various contexts. Intercultural activities enriched their understanding of different traditions and perspectives, helping to build stronger connections and mutual respect among participants from diverse backgrounds.
Creative Outcomes Worth Sharing
One of the highlights of the project was the creation of several impactful media products:
