From October 20–30, 2024, Blansko, Czech Republic, was the host of Silver Europe: Art of Cinema for Youth Work, an Erasmus+ training course that explored the transformative potential of cinematography in non-formal education. Youth workers from across Europe came together to learn, create, and exchange ideas, resulting in a remarkable series of documentaries that celebrate cultural diversity and foster understanding across borders.
Empowering Youth Workers Through Cinematography
The training course aimed to equip youth workers with practical filmmaking skills, empowering them to use cinematography as an educational tool. Participants dived deep into the art of storytelling, technical aspects of filmmaking, and the creative process of producing compelling visual narratives. The project embraced the idea that films can serve as a dynamic medium for education, promoting creativity, critical thinking, and intercultural dialogue.

Over ten days, participants collaborated on producing documentaries that explore the richness of cultural diversity. These films are now available for viewing, serving as valuable resources for educators, youth workers, and anyone passionate about using creative tools to inspire social change.
