We are pleased to announce that the Small-scale partnerships in adult education called “Catching up with digital space” 2021-1-CZ01-KA210-ADU-000027392 has been approved.
The project is financed by the European Union.
Aim:
Seniors are a very vulnerable and neglected social group when it comes to media literacy skills, resilience to disinformation and digital competencies. That is in consequence a threat to democratic development of our society, that is why we aim with this project to raise the capacity of involved organisations and empower our adult workers working with seniors with the new skills and methodology to approach seniors to raise their media literacy skills as well as their level of digital competences.
The timeline of the project is following:
1. Online Kick-off meeting
2. Focus groups to analyze the needs of seniors
3. Seminar to reflect the results of focus groups into new methodology and tools
4. Job shadowing in Poland and Slovenia
5. Local activities to implement the new methods in the practise
6. Seminar to adapt the working methods and tools and fine tune them into the final version.
7. Online final evaluation meeting
We expect organisations to raise their capacity in the field of adult education, to create a new methodology and tools to approach seniors and be able to give them knowledge and skills of media literacy and digital tools. Results will be summarized in a booklet which will be available for organisations working with adults and shared on the EPALE platform.
