As part of the Erasmus+ programme, 36 young people from Greece, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Turkey came together in Tekirdağ, Turkey. The youth mobility project titled “Read Beyond the Title” aims to equip young people with the ability to combat fake news and reduce the spread of misinformation.
Looking at the content of the project:
The European Union is founded on universal values such as freedom, democracy, and respect for human rights, yet many of these core values are threatened daily by various actors. Much can be done to change this situation and young people can take the lead. What they need is access to accurate information, useful tools, and awareness of disinformation and manipulation.

Participants learned how to distinguish fake news and how to confront it.
